Riolo Vineyards Specific Plan Initial Study

Back to Environmental Services page

In 2014, RCH prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Riolo Vineyards Specific Plan Update. The Riolo Vineyards Specific Plan (RVSP) is an approved project which includes a residential community in Placer County, California, with open-space, recreational, and commercial components, and encompasses approximately 525 acres. The approved Project includes a total of 933 residential units consisting of low-, medium- and high-density as well as rural and agricultural residences. Towne Development of Sacramento (HBT) purchased the project level parcels in the approved Riolo Vineyards Specific Plan Area in 2009, and has proposed revisions and improvements to improve the design of the Specific Plan. The Specific Plan Update includes changes in the road system, relocation of parks, reduced lot count, and changes in zoning. The IS/MND analyzes the environmental impacts of these proposed revisions. The Riolo Vineyards Specific Plan Updated was approved by Placer County Board of Supervisors in March 2015.
