121 East Grand Avenue Air Quality, Health Risk Assessment, Greenhouse Gas and Noise Analysis
The approved project included the demolition of existing structures (Comfort Inn & Suites) and development of an approximately 950,000 square foot biotechnology building which would include office space, research and development (R&D), a plaza, retail and parking in the South San Francisco Station Area Specific Plan. RCH managed the Air Quality, Greenhouse Gases, and Health Risk Assessment Technical Report and prepared a Noise Technical Report to support the project. The criteria pollutant emissions inventory for the project utilized CalEEMod and emission models for on-road vehicles and onsite equipment. Operational emissions included fume hoods, generators, and boilers needed to support biotechnology R&D operations. Health risk assessments previously prepared for several similar research facilities were reviewed and applied to the analysis. Onsite noise monitoring was conducted at the project site.
