CEQA Specialist – Fully Remote Position

RCH Group (RCH) is a California-based consulting firm that focuses on environmental planning. Our consultants manage and prepare CEQA/NEPA documents and provide technical services related to air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, health risk assessments, atmospheric dispersion modeling, and noise. Market segments include renewable energy, solid waste, composting, recycling, mining and airports.

Position

RCH is currently seeking a mid-level environmental professional with considerable California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) experience. This position is fully remote. Project management experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate will fit into our professional work environment, communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and regulatory personnel. The ideal candidate will have prior project management experience, preferably in the environmental consulting industry, CEQA experience, and possess good technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation for a variety of industries and agencies.

• Review of California and federal regulations and application of those regulations to specific client situations.

• Data analysis and technical report preparation.

• Performance of multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

• Support of proposal development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• BS or MS in environmental science, environmental planning, meteorology, or related degree.

• Two to ten years of experience in environmental consulting.

• Experience with CEQA/NEPA documentation.

• Self-motivated, and ability to complete tasks without persistent oversight.

• Exceptional communication skills, particularly with technical writing.
